Dylan Schmitz, Ph.D. is experienced in design of sensor hardware and software, as well as human machine interaction. As Chief Executive Officer, he leads business development and technical execution across all components of the Vimotis sensor system. He received his Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Wisconsin-Madison in 2023, where his thesis work contributed to the development and application of Tendon Tensiometry to understanding human adaptation to assistive devices during locomotion.

Darryl Thelen, Ph.D.

Darryl Thelen, Ph.D. brings over 25 years of expertise in computational and experimental movement biomechanics, with a focus on orthopedics, rehabilitation, and sports medicine. As Chief Science Officer, he is dedicated to driving the development and application of Vimotis sensor technologies. In addition to co-founding Vimotis, Dr. Thelen serves as the John Bollinger Chair and Weideman Professor of Mechanical Engineering at the University of Wisconsin-Madison.

Peter Adamczyk, Ph.D.

Peter Adamczyk, Ph.D. specializes in wearable biomechanical sensing and methods for out-of-lab studies and data interpretation. As Chief Innovation Officer, Dr. Adamczyk oversees the development of new ways to serve customers with Vimotis technology and related systems. In addition to being a Vimotis co-founder, Dr. Adamczyk is an Associate Professor of Mechanical Engineering at the University of Wisconsin-Madison, where he conducts research on wearable sensors, prosthetic legs, locomotion biomechanics, and rehabilitation robotics.
